Outdoor Pavers Made From Porcelain, Slate & Limestone

Outdoor pavers are a great alternative to a traditional slab or decking. Most are either porcelain or natural stone, but unlike normal tiles they are twice or 3 times as thick, meaning they can be installed either like a tile, like a slab or on a pedestal based system.

Tile pavers have a far more extensive range of finishes and in the case of porcelain pavers, are incredibly hard wearing, do not need sealing and have the full range of finishes that tiles do. Many are available in an internal and external version allowing you to tile your conservatory, kitchen or lounge in the internal version and continue the same look outside, switching to the non slip version for the outdoor section.

Slate Tiles

Slate and Quartzite are very similar types of stone, both need occasional sealing but produce a gorgeous distinctive tiled floor or wall. Quartzite, formed at higher temperatures is harder and it often has a slight crystal effect whilst slate has a layered or 'cleft' structure and is available in natural, honed, brushed or chipped edge finishes. Whilst popular for use in a conservatory, on a patio or verandah, these products are also ideal as a feature wall, drop feature section or border to lend some texture to an installation.
