1. How durable are the tiles if something is dropped onto the surface? 2. Are these tiles suitable for use with a hot water underfloor heating system? ( 50mm screed over pipes) Thanks, AC
Good Morning, 1. These tiles are unglazed porcelain so one of the most durable types of tile around. The key is laying them correctly with a serrated trowel which ensures there are no voids under the tile, if this is done then dropping most household items such as plates etc will have no effect (on the tile anyway!). Unglazed porcelain is often used in commercial settings such as car showrooms and have cars\trucks parked on them. 2. Yes they are ideal for use over a piped underfloor heating system. Just a note, unglazed porcelain tends to be slightly off-white so ordering a sample can be a good idea to make sure its the tile for you.
